Amakye Dede biography: Amakye Dede is a Ghanaian musician born on 5th January, 1958 in Agogo, Ghana.

Amakye Dede’s full name is Abrantie Daniel Amakye Dede. He is also popularly known as Iron Boy.

Amakye Dede studied at Agogo Roman School.

Dede began his career in 1973, after joining Kumapim Royals as a composer and vocalist. In 1980, he formed his own band called the Apollo High Kings. He has been at the centre of many local and international concerts. Some of his songs include “Seniwa”, “Iron Boy” and “Mabre”.
