Edward Mahama biography: Edward Mahama is a Ghanaian medical doctor and political figure, born on 15th April, 1945 in Sumniboma, Ghana.
Edward Mahama studied at Nalerigu Primary and Middle School. He attended secondary school in Tamale and pursued a medical degree st the University of Ghana, Legon.
Edward Mahama worked as an Obstetrics and Gynecology Physician in Chicago, Illinois. During that time, he was also a clinical instructor at Northwestern university. In 1990, he was appointed a lecturer at the University of Ghana Medical School and consultant at Accra’s Korle Bu Teaching Hospital. He was elected a fellow of the West African College of Surgeons in 1994. He currently serves as Ghana’s Ambassador-at-Large.
