Frederick Werema was born on 10th October, 1955.
Frederick Werema pursued his degrees in Law from the University of Dar Es Salaam and the American University Graduate School in USA. He learned how to privatize electricity companies in Bolovia.
Frederick Werema was sworn in on October 20, 2009. Before his appointment, Werema had been a Judge at the High Court of Tanzania in the Commercial Division. From 1984 to 2007 he had worked in the Attorney General’s Office and in 2005, he had been appointed an alternate member of SADC Tribunal.
Frederick Werema resigned in December 2014 following accusations that he had authorized the transfer of about $120 million from a controversial account.
