Karen Zoid was born on 10th August, 1978 in Brussels, Belgium.
Karen Zoid’s birth name is Karen Louise Greeff.
Karen Zoid attended the National School of Arts in Johannesburg and later studied drama at AFDA.
Karen Zoid’s work has earned her the name “Queen of Rock”. She is also best known for hosting the television series Republiek van Zoid Afrika and is one of the judges on The Voice SA. Her first album, Poles Apart, was listed as one of the 100 greatest South African songs by the Sunday Times. She has written music for television, two of her songs featuring in the2006 movie “Number 10”. She performed at the inaugurations of Presidents Thabo Mbeki in 2004 and Jacob Zuma in 2009. She starred in a Franz Marx film, Susanna van Biljon.
Karen Zoid won the SAMA for Best Female Solo Artist in 2008.
