Kofi Owusu Boahene biography: Kofi Owusu Boahene is a Ghanaian physician, writer and academic born in Ghana.

Kofi Owusu studied at Bubuashie, Datus Preparatory School and proceeded to Prempeh College in Kumasi. He pursued a medical degree at Meharry Medical College in Nashville, Tennessee.

Owusu is an associate professor of facial plastic and reconstructive surgery at the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. He is a facial plastic surgeon in Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery at the John Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore, Maryland. He has been invited as a speaker at both national and international conferences in Panama, Peru, Germany and United States.

In 1993, Owusu received the Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honors Award. At Mayo, he received a Best Teacher Recognition Award and the Distinguished Mayo Brothers Fellowship Award. He received the Jack R. Anderson Prize for Scholastic Excellence recently.
