Kyla-Rose Smith biography: Kyla-Rose is a violinist, singer and dancer from South Africa.

Kyla-Rose was born on 10th September, 1982.

Kyla-Rose trained in musical performance at the University of Cape Town.

Kyla-Rose performs with the Afropop musical ensemble Freshlyground and with Kolo Novo Movie Band. She was previously a member of the hip hop music group Tumi and the Volume and the dance troupe Vuyani Dance Theatre.

Kyla-Rose was among eight women honoured by the South African division of Glamour at the Glamour Women of the Year Awards 2011. She and her bandmate Zolani were declared “The Icons” of South African women in 2011.
