Nomvula Mokonyane Biography: Nomvula Mokonyane is the Minister of Communications of South Africa who was born on 28th June 1963 in the West Rand township of Kagiso, Gauteng.

Nomvula is the youngest in a family of 12, with six sisters and five brothers.

Nomvula attended Masupatsela High School, Kagiso.

Nomvula’s political career began in the early 1980s as a student activist. During that period she became a member of the Young Christian Students (YCS) and a founder member of the Congress of South African Students (Cosas).

Nomvula Mokonyane is the former Minister in the Department of Water and Sanitation of South Africa,also the former Premier of Gauteng province and also Honorary President of SA-China People’s Friendship Association.

Nomvula is a vivid Catholic.
